Cancun/Tulum, Mexico: Anniversary Trip

Hubby is the best at planning trips! This one caught me off guard because this was on my #BucketList and he's never been to Cancun. So I truly enjoyed staying at the
The Royal Sands Resort and it was a trip to remember!

I even bought books on what I've been researching the past six months and by the time we took our trip to CHICHEN ITZA I was a tour guide. I am blessed in many ways, but traveling is one of those things you have to do in order to experience what else LIFE has for you!

*I will do a separate blog post of the trip to Chichen Itza once I shrink the size of the pictures*

ThrowBack: Anniversary Style!

Marriage is not easy. Marriage is a commitment between two people before God. Marriage is something you work on and continue to build upon the foundation you created together. I noticed in my own Marriage that I was losing myself and I became very unhealthy. My energy was off, weight up, and I had a hard time understanding my role. FINALLY, I embraced it and I understood what would make me happy. You can see our faces from our First Year anniversary trip to Barbados to this year celebrating my 31st birthday. EVOLUTION
I am thankful for my journey and it was a process. Even my husband has seen a difference in how I carry myself and how I've adapted to change. I've overcome so many things in my life that I owed it to myself to find ME again. I found HER. I am never losing HER AGAIN. NOPE. NOT EVER!

Road Trip to TAMPA

On our 4th Wedding Anniversary we had to drive down to Tampa for a family member's funeral. This was a time for us to see family from hubby's side and to just enjoy each other during a difficult time. I was thankful to just be able to see everyone and be there for hubby. My boys loved getting dressed up & even Christopher asked, "Are we going to work Mommy?" LOL!
Tell your loved ones you LOVE THEM and BE THERE for them!

The LOVE Day & Night

SO I am one of those lucky wives who gets to celebrate Valentine's day one week and the next week our Wedding Anniversary. Did we plan that? No. But I WILL NOT complain! DOUBLE GIFTSSSSS! LOL!

But seriously, while we were dating I gave Valentine's day to him and kept that going once we got married (4 years on the 19th). He does so much for our #BlendedFamilyMatters that I don't mind being self-less on a day that a woman looks for extra romance & gifts. Oh let's not forget the actual Men's Valentine's day, MARCH 14th, he gets that too! LOL!

When you are trying to take a picture of US and BAE not looking... SMH LOL!

This year I took him to Top Golf in Alpharetta. OMG it was so far from our house! LOL! Can't wait until it opens in Atlantic Station. He really enjoyed it and said, "This is like Bowling but for GOLF!" Then I treated him to another movie (yes we saw 50 Shades of Grey but that was the night before at CineBistro) Kingsman: The Secret Service! That movie was amazing!

Then we did what he likes to do: PROGRESSIVE DINING! We went from Frank Ski's Lounge to White Oak Kitchen to Sivas. White Oak was the highlight of that experience and Sivas was a great time.

One of the last views of the entire day (without KIDS!) was the King & Queen towers off of Interstate 400 lit up for Valentine's Day!
Last year we couldn't sneak off and do anything special so we incorporated the kids in what we did.
This year thankfully this year it was different and we were able to have a

Weekly Maintenance: MY BODY

Generally during the week I will pick a day where I will juice my juices for up to three days and make my fruit-infused water as well. Now that football season is over (yes I have increased my therapy sessions because I miss it :/ ) I am able to visit my PURE BARRE studio that I love here in the metro Atlanta area. I generally try to make sure that workout also in E.F.F.E.C.T Fitness bootcamp and/or LA Fitness as well. These three things below are what I need on a weekly basis in order to maintain where I am now.

Juice: Carrot juice (Eyes & Skin), Beet Juice (Skin), Grapefruit juice, Green Juices and random juices I create with fruit & Veggies that may be going bad LOL... I always add Ginger and/or Cayenne Pepper & Turmeric to all of my juices... Go to Tierra Goes Green for more information!

Water: Filtered water with Strawberries, Blueberries, Orange, MINT, Lemon, Cucumber, Lime and Watermelon

Pure Barre: I love the noon sessions for at least three to five times a week! I find that around noon this hour will make me zone out and then press on forward for the rest of my day!

Fixer Upper: Bike TIME!

After church Sunday (watched it online via Ustream) Hubby helped Sean & I fix up these bikes that his stepbrothers used to ride. Of course Sean will get his own bike, but teaching him responsibility and how to ride is important. He got a chance to learn how to fix a tire and add air to it. I forgot so I learned TOO!
#BlendedFamilyMatters it says a lot when children can share things with one another and for this moment I am thankful. I need my own bike and I put in a request for Valentine's day, LOL! That and flowers... I am simple.

~Weekend Love~

The weather was AMAZING this weekend and the boys had to get out of the house. NO PHONES & NO iPOD TOUCH!

We explored our backyard and went to our community lake and walked 3 miles around our neighborhood. Christopher was over it! LOL!

No matter what I find time to get a quick workout in! Thank God for the home gym project I did last year and how it helps me stay focused. A lot of times I can't get to LA Fitness or E.F.F.E.C.T Fitness bootcamp so I just get 20-45 minutes in here and GO HAM!

A weekend well spent at home FINALLY after such a busy football season!
Happy Wife, Happy Life!

I can't remember who tagged me in a pic of this and where this came from on Instagram but I have to say,
WHEW! Now all I have to do is really focus in on actually saving half of a watermelon in order to do this! I'm sure I will share it if I can! LOL!
