Literally did a lot this past week that dealt with telling my story about my journey and my Mental Health. I had the opportunity of joining other Mental Health Advocates at the Capitol here in Atlanta. I spoke with four classes of sixth graders at Columbia Middle School about how important Communicating is. It is very hard to relive many moments of my life over & over again, but if it helps students speak up for help and state legislators work on legislation for people like me then so be it.
I am thankful that God continues to use me in a light where I am able to speak to others while helping them see a different side of Mental illness. I know that many people diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder aren't functioning well in today's society and aren't able to manage their families. I am. I continue to fight for my life and every day I am battling thoughts within.
They haven't won but I continue to WIN because I want to LIVE!
It ain't easy being GREEN but someone has to do it!
