I WALKED BY FAITH

Well from what I hear I waddled across the stage so maybe I should say, "I WADDLED BY FAITH!" LOL... This has really been a long road and I was able to taste victory as I walked past Mayor Kasim Reed & Former Mayor/Ambassador Andrew Young to receive my Bachelor of Arts degree from Oglethorpe University.

IN THAT MOMENT I WAS QUEEN! IN THAT MOMENT MY GRANDMOTHER SMILED FROM HEAVEN! IN THAT MOMENT MY MOTHER SAID "WELL DONE"...

What more could I ask for? Well I've talked with God and I have prayed on it, but I was surprised on Mother's Day. Mother's Day was the most beautiful Mother's Day for me. For once I with a man that loved and appreciated me... My child no longer had to see me struggle... And I was living the next phase of my life. WHAT A BLESSING!

But I got another surprise on Mother's Day that I will reveal towards the end of the year, and I know that this is a part of God's plan for my future. All I can do is continue to "WALK BY FAITH" even though my vision is near-sighted.

I care So should YOU

This week is very important to me. I will be graduating from College this weekend, and celebrating Children's Mental Health Week. Please educate yourself on the various mental illnesses and disorders that may affect your child. Our children are a blessing!

  • Mental health is essential to overall health and well being.

  • Serious emotional and mental health disorders in children and youth are real and treatable.

  • Children and youth with mental health challenges and their families deserve access to   services and supports that are family driven, youth guided and culturally appropriate.

  • Values of acceptance, dignity and social inclusion should be promoted throughout all   communities for children, youth and families.

  • Family and youth voice is a valued asset in determining appropriate services and interventions.
